Programming Mentor
For a transformative period of three years, I held the esteemed role of mentor, sharing my knowledge and skills with the impressionable minds of children aged between 9 and 12 years. We embarked on an explorative journey of computer programming, utilizing the intuitive platform of Scratch to foster their creativity and logical thinking. With an aim to equip them with a diverse skill set, we ventured into the fundamentals of website construction, utilizing HTML to bring our digital visions to life.
Our quest for knowledge didn’t stop there; we embraced an extensive range of online tools to master the intricacies of Video, Photo, and 3D editing, thereby paving the way for these young minds to express their creativity through different mediums.
An integral part of our innovative curriculum included engaging in an array of interactive programming games, designed to stimulate problem-solving abilities while keeping the learning process exciting. Moreover, to further enhance their understanding of game mechanics and level design, we also explored online game creator engines, inspiring them to program and curate their very own digital adventures.
Manual/Automatic Testing
In the heart of 2022, I embarked on an exciting journey with Atea as a Junior Test Automation Engineer, joining the ranks of a B2B Search engine testing/development team, renowned as the most intricate project within the company at the time. In this challenging and dynamic environment, I honed my skills in Java, Jenkins, Selenium, and Google Access DB.
I embraced a plethora of responsibilities, orchestrating sprints to ensure timely progression, enhancing and safeguarding the project’s quality, strategically selecting functionalities for development and release, meticulously planning testing phases, and diligently maintaining automated tests.
Upon my entry into the project, two other testers were part of the team who, in due course, departed from the company. Their departure, however, turned out to be a fortuitous event, as by then, I had already exhibited my reliability and agility, leading to my appointment as the lead of the entire project’s testing and quality assurance. Subsequently, I played a key role in the onboarding of two fresh recruits, steering the team towards our project goals.
In my expansive role, I worked in close collaboration with the project manager, lead developer, and product owner. When the company opened a new position – Business Analyst and Architect – my demonstrated competencies and dedication led to a strong recommendation for the role. Embracing this new opportunity, I successfully transitioned into the position, thereby broadening my horizons and adding a richer array of responsibilities to my portfolio.
Programming, Testing Lecturer
Embracing a new chapter in my professional journey, I joined the esteemed Vilnius Coding School as a Lecturer. Here, I had the rewarding opportunity to guide adult learners, many of whom were courageously venturing into a career shift, through the intricacies of test automation, programming, and manual testing.
This unique role allowed me to play an instrumental part in their transformative journey. During the day, I applied my expertise as a Business Architect, and as twilight approached, I transitioned into an enlightening role, imparting knowledge from 18:30 to 21:30 each workday.
Our intensive curriculum was crafted with precision, covering all the necessary programming skills, from understanding simple variables to the complex construction of constructors and the implementation of inheritance. The backbone of my instruction revolved around C#, manual testing, and test automation.
To equip these career-changers with practical, industry-relevant skills, I guided them through the process of test automation using the powerful combination of C# and Selenium. Thus, I not only played a part in reshaping their professional trajectories but also helped empower them with the confidence and competence to thrive in the dynamic tech landscape.
Business Analyst and Architect
Stepping into the role of a Business Analyst and Architect marked a turning point in my career. This role, characterized by its technical challenges and opportunities for innovation, has been the fertile ground where I’ve cultivated my finest work to date.
At the onset, I embarked on a mission to create efficient process automations from scratch, harnessing the power of Azure Functions and Azure DevOps. I meticulously laid down the groundwork that would simplify the creation of future automations, streamlining our operations significantly.
Moreover, I undertook the responsibility of establishing robust test and production environments for my functions, ensuring their flawless performance. To fortify the system’s integrity, I implemented vital security patches, safeguarding our operations from potential vulnerabilities.
Understanding the critical role of version control in maintaining seamless workflow, I executed all necessary measures to integrate it into our system. This paved the way for efficient tracking of changes and enhanced team collaboration.
However, the centerpiece of my tenure in this role has been my extensive work in the realm of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Harnessing the transformative power of AI, I integrated it into our release notes system, revolutionizing the way we generate release notes. Thanks to this innovative approach, our release notes are now automatically created using AI, bringing unprecedented efficiency to our process. This experience solidifies my position not only as a business analyst and architect, but also as an innovator at the forefront of technological advancement.
